The HR2 is a high-current CCT controller and dimmer for white tape, rated 30A and 1440W across DC12-48V. A single channel carries the full 30A, which is what lets one controller run a commercial-length single-colour installation without being split.
Which Model Do You Need?
Twelve controllers share this platform. They differ on exactly two things, so pick by answering two questions: how do you want to control it, and how big is the run. Everything else — DC12-48V input, PUSH dimming, common-anode output, the wiring — is the same across all of them.

The 2-in-1 models drive single colour and tunable white. The 5-in-1 models add RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT and cost about $2 more, so unless you are certain the run will never be colour, the 5-in-1 is usually the safer buy. 20A handles up to 960W; 30A handles up to 1440W.
What This Controller Works With
- Single colour LED strip — 2 pads (V+, V-), any colour
- Tunable white / CCT LED strip — 3 pads (V+, WW, CW)
- Common-anode constant-voltage tape at DC 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V
- An ordinary momentary wall switch, through the PUSH input
Not compatible with: RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT strip — those need a 5-in-1 model such as the HR5 RF 5-in-1 (30A). Addressable / pixel tape is not supported. If your strip is marked WS2812B, WS2811, WS2815, SK6812 or WS2805, or has three pads (VCC / DAT / GND) with a chip on every LED, it needs an SPI controller instead — see the SPIR3 or SPIR5.
Count the solder pads on the cut end of your strip. Two pads is single colour, three is tunable white, four is RGB, five is RGBW and six is RGB+CCT. A chip marking such as WS2812B or SK6812 means the strip is addressable and needs an SPI controller rather than a PWM one.
When 20A Is Not Enough
Most LED controllers stop between 6A and 12A. The 20A models in this range already cover a long cove or a full room perimeter. The 30A models exist for the runs above that — a large open-plan ceiling, a commercial installation, a high-output strip at full brightness — where the usual answer is to split the run across two controllers and keep them in sync. At 1440W on 48V this does it with one unit and one remote.
Key Features
2-in-1 output modes
Single Colour or Dual White (CCT), selected with the SET button.
30A total output
Up to 1440W at 48V — the largest run in the range, without splitting it across two controllers.
DC12-48V input
Covers 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V constant-voltage tape. At 48V a run goes much further before voltage drop shows at the far end.
2.4GHz RF control
Up to 30m through walls. No phone, account or network involved.
Gateway upgradeable
Add the WL-Box2 later and this controller gains app and voice control without being replaced.
PUSH dimming
Wire an ordinary momentary wall switch: short press for ON/OFF, long press for stepless brightness. Works with no wireless control at all.
Auto-transmitting & sync
Linked controllers relay the RF signal and run dynamic modes in step across a large space.
Do Not Disturb mode
Configurable behaviour after a power failure.
Remote Control, No Network
This is the 2.4GHz RF version: it answers a handheld remote or wall panel directly, at up to 30m through walls, and touches nothing on your network. No app, no account, no router dependency — which for a lot of installs is the right answer, because there is nothing to set up and nothing that stops working when the internet does. If you later decide you want app and voice control, add the WL-Box2 gateway and this controller joins the Tuya app without being replaced.

Installation Notes
- Turn the power supply off before wiring.
- Match the supply voltage to the strip — a 24V strip on a 12V supply looks dim, and a 12V strip on 24V will be damaged.
- Select the output mode with the SET button before connecting the strip.
- Stay inside the controller's rated output, and add a second supply with a repeater on runs beyond it.
- Keep it away from large metal surfaces and sources of interference, which shorten wireless range.
- The housing is IP20 — mount it somewhere dry and ventilated even when the tape is outdoor rated.
Not Sure This Is the Right One?
- Pick the HR5 RF 5-in-1 (30A) if you also run RGB, RGBW or RGB+CCT tape.
- Pick the PR2 RF CCT (20A) if 20A is enough — it is cheaper and smaller.
- Pick the HW2 WiFi CCT (30A) if you want app and voice control with no hub.
- Pick the HZ2 Zigbee CCT (30A) if you run a Zigbee smart-home network.
