The FUT025 is an RGB LED controller kit supplied with the FUT098 remote. Electrically it is the same as the FUT020 kit — same 12-24V input, same 6A per channel and 10A total — so the choice between the two is simply which handset you prefer.
What This Kit Works With
- RGB LED strip — 4 pads (V+, R, G, B)
- Common-anode constant-voltage tape at DC 12V or 24V
- 6A per channel and 10A total — up to 240W at 24V
- Common RGB tape: 5050, 2835 and RGB FCOB / COB strip
Not compatible with: Addressable / pixel tape is not supported. If your strip is marked WS2812B, WS2811, WS2815 or SK6812, or has three pads (VCC / DAT / GND) with a chip on every LED, it needs an SPI controller instead.
Count the solder pads on the cut end of your strip. Two pads is single colour, three is tunable white, four is RGB, five is RGBW and six is RGB+CCT. A chip marking such as WS2812B means the strip is addressable and needs an SPI controller rather than a PWM one.
Kit or Separate Parts?
A kit is the simple route: matched controller and remote, already paired. Buying separately is possible — a bare E3-RF, PR5 or HR5 plus the C4 RGB+CCT remote — and it is worth doing when you want more output than this kit offers: the PR5 carries 20A and the HR5 30A, against 10–15A here.
Key Features
Supplied with the FUT098 remote
A 2.4GHz handset with GFSK modulation and 30m range.
16 million colours
A full colour wheel rather than a fixed set of presets.
Brightness and saturation
Adjusted independently from the remote.
2.4GHz RF, not infrared
Works through walls with no line of sight.
Common-anode output
The standard wiring for 12-24V RGB tape.
Gateway upgradeable
Add the WL-Box2 later for app and voice control.
Adding App and Voice Control Later
This kit is remote-controlled out of the box, with nothing on your network. If you later want phone and voice control — scenes, schedules, Alexa and Google Home — add the WL-Box2 2.4GHz gateway and the same controller joins the Tuya app without being replaced. One gateway covers every compatible 2.4GHz device in range, so you need one for the house rather than one per controller.

Setup Notes
- Power off before wiring.
- Match the supply voltage to the strip — a 24V strip on a 12V supply looks dim, and a 12V strip on 24V will be damaged.
- These are common-anode outputs: the shared positive goes to V+, and each colour channel to its own terminal.
- Stay inside the rated output. Longer runs need a second supply with a repeater rather than a bigger controller.
- The remote needs 2 × AAA batteries, which are not included.
- Pair the remote to the controller on first use, following the pairing step in the manual — usually powering the controller off and on, then pressing a key on the remote within a few seconds.
Not Sure This Is the Right One?
- Pick the FUT020 RGB kit if you prefer the remote supplied with that kit.
- Pick the FUT027 RGBW kit if your strip is RGBW, with a separate white channel.
- Pick the FUT037SA+ RGB+CCT kit if your strip is RGB+CCT (6 pads).
- Pick the PR5 5-in-1 controller (20A) if you want 20A and will choose your own remote.
