This 3x6mm side emitting addressable RGB LED strip packs 160 individually addressable WS2812B LEDs per meter into an IP65 silicone jacket. Light exits the narrow 3mm face and the strip bends sideways, so it lies flat on a wall, sign board or acrylic panel and curves into neon-style letters, logos and outlines, with every LED under its own control. Available in 5V and 12V on 5m reels, as the strip alone or as a ready-to-run kit with the SP538E WiFi controller and a matched power supply.
Why Choose This Side Emitting Addressable LED Strip?
Side Emitting, Side Bend
Light leaves the narrow 3mm face while the strip bends sideways, so it stays flat against the mounting surface and follows letters, logos and curves down to a 20mm (0.8in) radius.
160 Pixels per Meter
Every LED has its own WS2812B IC on both the 5V and 12V versions. Many addressable neon strips group 3 to 6 LEDs per pixel; here each LED is its own pixel, for smoother chasing, rainbow and music-sync RGBIC effects.
IP65 Silicone Jacket
Dust-tight and protected against water jets, for kitchens, bathrooms, covered patios and other damp spots. The slim silicone gives a neon-style line of color, with individual LED points visible up close.
5V or 12V
Both versions control every LED and have power leads at the tail end. Choose 5V for signs, letters and props, or 12V for long runs with lower current and less voltage drop.

Need exact runs for a sign or fixture? We supply custom lengths with factory-sealed ends and lead wires, so there is nothing to cut or reseal on site.

- Connect a WS2812B-compatible controller, such as the SP538E, to the 3-pin input lead. Data runs one way, from the input end.
- Using the SP538E: in the BanlanX app, choose WS2812B (RGB) as the IC type and set the pixel count to 800 for a full 5m reel. If colors look swapped, fix them with the color-order setting instead of rewiring.
- The tail leads carry power only, with no data output. To run more than one reel, connect each reel to its own controller output, or contact us about a custom length.
- Use a regulated power supply sized for your version (see the table above). On 5V, wire the tail leads to the same supply for a full 5m reel.
- Shorter run? Set the LED count on your controller to match the length you need. LEDs past that point stay off, and the extra length can be coiled or tucked out of sight.
- The silicone jacket covers the cut marks, so field cutting is not recommended. If you do shorten a reel, seal both open ends with the spare end caps and neutral-cure silicone.
- Fix the strip with the included clips about every 25cm (10in), and closer together on curves. Silicone does not bond well to standard tape.
- Keep the factory-sealed ends intact and protect all wire connections from water to maintain IP65 protection.
