The 5 × 5 mm 270° LED neon flex is one of the smallest square neon profiles you can buy, sized to drop into a 6 mm routed groove or trace tight lettering that standard 12 mm neon rope cannot follow. It runs at 24V with 322 LEDs/m and 6 W/m, and the 270° emitting angle lights the top and both side faces so the line stays visible when it is viewed edge-on. Rated IP67 for outdoor and wet-location use, CRI 90, dimmable, and available in four white color temperatures.
Why choose this mini neon flex
- 270° emission, not 120°: the whole profile glows rather than just the top face — the difference between a sign that reads from an angle and one that disappears.
- 5 × 5 mm square section: fits grooves, reveals and letter strokes far too narrow for conventional neon flex, and the flat base sits square in a channel instead of rolling.
- 322 LEDs/m: dense enough that the line is genuinely dotless at close viewing distance, which is where small-format signage is actually read.
- 6 W/m at 24V: low current draw, so long letter runs and multi-letter signs stay on one modest driver.
- CRI 90: white stays white on camera — worth having when the install is a retail or hospitality space people photograph.
- IP67 rated: sealed against rain, dust and temporary immersion, so the same profile works on an exterior storefront sign as it does on an interior shelf reveal.

Cutting and installation
Cut only at the marked cut points, then fit an end cap and seal the cut face with silicone before the neon flex goes outdoors or anywhere damp — an open cut end is the single most common failure point on any neon flex install, and it is what turns an IP67 profile into a non-rated one. Bend the profile on its flat side; do not twist it along its axis, crush it into a channel that is too tight, or fold it back on itself, because the LEDs sit on a rigid strip inside the silicone.
Feed from a 24V DC supply with headroom above the total wattage, and keep single runs within the length the manufacturer specifies for this profile so the far end does not dim. Mounting clips, a routed groove or a matching aluminum channel all work; adhesive alone is not enough on a vertical or overhead sign face. For exterior signs, use an outdoor-rated driver in a weatherproof enclosure and keep IP67 in mind — it covers rain and splash, not permanent submersion.
Where it is used
- Small neon lettering, logo outlines and channel-letter returns
- Outdoor storefront signage, shopfront fascias and building outlines
- Cabinet, shelf, wardrobe and furniture grooves too narrow for standard neon flex
- Retail showcases, display fixtures and product plinths
- Bars, restaurants, hotels and entertainment interiors
- Garden paths, pergolas, decking edges and covered patios
- Stair nosings, handrails and slim architectural reveals
Ordering
Choose a color temperature above — 2700K, 3000K, 4000K or 6500K. All four are the same 24V, 322 LEDs/m, 6 W/m profile, so a mixed-CCT sign or fit-out runs on the same driver spec throughout. Sign shops and fabricators buying by the case can contact us for trade pricing and repeat-order lead times.
Compliance and warranty
RoHS compliant and rated IP67, with a 3-year warranty and a 36,000-hour rated life. Compliance documentation is available on request for trade, contract and specification work.
